I was on the internet (Mozilla Firefox) and I was just browsing then a message came up and said something like 'Windows defender needs you to restart your computer to solve a problem' so I clicked it and then it obviously restarted. I tried to log onto my user area and it took longer than usual to load up and when it finally loaded up it had a blank background and my documents, no task-bar or shortcut. The only way I got onto the internet was by going on my downloads going on Spotify and then clicking on an advert, for the past couple of days I've been getting warnings saying that I have a harmful virus so I clicked 'Remove' and it said it had gone but every hour or so it kept coming back up. Also I have Windows Vista. Sorry it's so long :( Happy New Year :) thanks :) forex robot

Hi Ok my grandma got a new desktop a few weeks ago, it came with a free trial of McAfee which I installed for her no probs (have it myself at home) She already bought a different antivirus package (Bulldog?) which I was going to install when the McAfee trial was up. Anyway my little brother has been up for xmas and since there's only a few days of the McAfee trial left thought he would install it now for her. Since then the pc goes on to the desktop and thats about it, it wont let me open anything in the controll panel and cant get on the internet. It wont even turn off so have to do it by the button! Its as if its loading up constantly but doesnt do anything at all. I'm pretty sure it's cos of the 2 antivirus software together am I right? How do I sortr it? I wanted to go into add/remove programmes and get rid of McAfee but I cant get into it? Thanks for any advice forex robot

At work the man I worked with got a virus opening a picture and when I am not there he tends to use my computer because its faster, I have important information about payrolls and financial info about the company and I can't afford to lose it. Thanks forex robot

Let me start off by saying what actually happens with videos. Whenever a page comes up that has a potential video on it, ones in which you can click a play button, my computer freezes up immediately. I ran a virus scan and there are no viruses. Literally, a second after the page comes up it freezes and the "program is not responding". It was working fine early today. Now that I think back though, a message came up that was asking for me to grant permission or something and I may have clicked never but I can't remember what is was asking for etc. Are there any common downloads I could do or any security options that I can get around? forex robot

There is a horrible virus on my computer that has taken some access away from me, I cannot do any system restores or open any anti-vir. programs. I cannot find my windows reinstall disc, is there any other hope for this computer out there? forex robot

Well, I'm not too sure it's a trojan horse but it's what I think. Anyways, one of my friends messaged me on msn saying, "is this you ? lol" then gave me a link. I clicked on it and it was one of those things where you have to download it. So I did. (I know, I'm very gullible D:) So I went back on msn, the computer was doing tthings automatically by itself. Everytime I tried to message someone, as soon as I start typing, it sends the same thing. "is this you ? lol" then the link. It then starts sending to every single person who's online on my list. I shut down my laptop and I try again. It still keeps doing the same thing on my msn. The trojan horse is in my msn. Should I get rid of this virus by completely deleting my whole windows live messenger and reinstalling it again? I'm trying to get the simplest ways to get rid of this virus, besides restoring my laptop. Also can I have simple explanations with not too big words? I'm not really that intelligent, haha.
